Bulky machine (Standard)
3 Ozs, worsted weight yarn
Tension 7 and 8 (___________)
- Bring out EON, L37-R36 (146 sts 72 – 0- 74), tension 7 ( )
- Knit one row from right to left
- Hang cast on comb with the teeth coming toward you on the yarn between the needles
- Bring the out of work needles into work
- Knit 40 (80) rows
- Bring EON to hold, holding onto to comb making sure you keep some tension on the comb so you don’t lose the stitches off the comb, with a weighted bar across the knitting fold in half and hang the cast on loops on the needles in hold. You just hung the hem for the hat.
- Change to tension 8 ( )
- Knit 20 (40) rows
- Transfer EON, PUT EMPTY NEEDLES OUT OF WORK
- Knit 4 rows
- Sew off with a double eyed needle
- Gather up top of hat and sew up the seam
*Note: For a Standard machine the tension will have to be determined depending on the thickness of your yarn
